Kanye West is now the subject of academia. Fellow Chicagoan Julius Bailey, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at Wittenberg University, is dropping “The Cultural Impact of Kanye West” on March 6, Fuse reports.
Bailey plans to “offer an in-depth reading of the works and cultural impact of Kanye West” in the 300 page textbook. According to the book’s Amazon listing, students in Bailey’s class will be coughing up $95 unless they pre-order it for $80 and change.
Students will have the opportunity to learn about “West’s word, images and music in the broader context of Western civilization’s preconceived ideas.” Furthermore, they will understand why “West both challenges religious and moral norms and propagates them.”
Class is in session.
