The NBA has launched the “Dream BIG” campaign in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day and Black History Month. On January 20, MLK Day, the NBA will air a “Dream BIG” spot featuring Chris Bosh of the Miami HEAT during nationally televised games on ESPN, TNT and NBA TV as well as the other games available on NBA League Pass.
On the day honoring the civil rights activist, the 20 teams that will be in action will wear “Dream BIG” shooting shirts during warm-ups.
NBA‘s effort to honor African-American history will continue throughout Black History Month. Ray Allen, also a member of the HEAT, assisted the league in designing a commemorative Black History Month shooting shirt which will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman and Bill Russell. The shirt will be worn by all 30 teams in select games throughout February.
